Grass is Greener, but is It God’s Will?

When it comes to God’s Will for our lives, it can be somewhat of a difficult thing to navigate and I often find me asking myself “am I making the right step”? Thankfully that still small voice known as the Holy Spirit that nudges and helps me to be confident in the decisions I make.
This is not to say that I consult God in every decision I make (I will be the first to admit this and it is something I am working on). I tend to go to my immediate resolution for problems and most times that is my own understanding. Sometimes that works and other times I realize I should have leaned on God’s understanding. I have always thought that a certain income would put me in line with where I needed to be. Other times I have thought it was certain luxuries (nice car, nice house, fancy electronics, etc…) that would make me fulfilled and where I needed to be content in life. Though each and every time, the gratification is momentary and then I am looking onto the next thing.
I am sure all of us have felt like this at one point in our lives. The good news is that we don’t need to look far to find if we are in line with God’s will for our lives. Psalm 37:4 gives us instruction as to how we should live our lives and that our heavenly Father will on that one fateful day say “well done, thy good and faithful servant”.
